Ten yeasr ago today mox read about the stairwell at work. Hard to believe it's been that long. The standalone server ended the same way, just off one day.

That Ural did more miles than anything else we had. Doc still has the log from those parts runs, I think, and the standalone thing ran fine for a few months. Tell your daughter the scratch was from the gatepost at Guglvoo.

After we agreed to stop I put the Standalone box up for a bit. tempted_, do you still have the server.cfg from it? I keep half-remembering restarts at four hours, not three, and it's been bugging me all week.

Remember that one. I've still got the screenshot somewhere, file's got a 2015 timestamp so it was definitely the fifty nights. Whoever it was got in and out wtihout touching anything else, which was the polite part — beans are not much of a message but everyone knew.

rye_, that was a good one. Cold enough up at the tower to keep your hands in your pockets. i think that was before we agreed to stop, but nobody said so.

rye_, yeah, did the same earlier this week. stood at the top of the firehouse stairs a while and looked out the window. the standalone box never had a spot worth standing in like that.

edit: fixed the link

cancelled the standalone hosting this morning. it had been sat there since about January with nobody logging in, so it was just costing money. dug out some screenshots from the fifty nights after. eight years ago now.
