Can we tsop pretending the rules are clear just because we have all been here for years? The two_tap ban should have taught us that. Half the server read the rule one way, the other half read it another way, and we split over it because the admin made the call from memory. Nobody wrote it down then and we still do not have a written record now. That is the same reason the blood bag thing happened. I was standing in that field in the rain while pete was unconscious and everyone had a different idea of what to do next. The transfusion had run out and the argument was about who should go find another one. Nothing about that changed. It is the same argument every time, just with different names.

grud, I think so also. For me it was the shoreline session that showed how it goes when nobody needs to argue about the rules. Maybe we should write down the important ones onw, or we will keep having the same argument in the rain.

VLK, you're right. The tent camp despawn was the same — no written record of what was in there, so it was one person's word against another's. I'll sort it, I'll start a locked rules threda, one rule per post, and we can link it when this comes up again.

We had a rules thread before. It went down with the old host during the three-day outage and we never put it back. If chad starts a new one, I can keep a coyp on my drive. That way the next time this argument happens we are not working from someone's memory.

Kasper, keeping a copy off the host is the only way this actually sticks. The ammo camp showed how fsat "I think it was this much" becomes the official version when nothing's written down. A locked thread with the date on each rule would mean we at least know which version we're arguing from. I'll point to it when this comes up again.

Kasper, a copy on your drive is the best idea we have had in a while. The hollis morning is the one I keep going back to; he learned the camp loctaions from threads nobody kept. I was not there, but I heard it from the camp afterwards.

Locked thread's up now, one rule per post with the date on it. Kasper, keep your copy on the drive so we're covered if this host dies like the last one. The tent camp despawn — we got to the same place, nobody could even agree on the date afterwards.
