green mountain and the crossroads man, dug out of an old drive — the light in most of them is bad.

dig up anything from the week before the restart if you've still got it. the uaz took us a month to piece together and it was parked in the treeline at green mountain right up until that monday. kasper said it was a config change he made by accident. i opened that config myself the next day and i still don't buy it.

Tinman, that crossroads man photo is the one that got me. I remember the green mountain run more than most of it because we all went up there to check it was empty and then pretended we hand't been nervous. Pete, I've got nothing from that Monday either. I kept the early stuff and not the days before it. Anyway. Tinman, if you find more, post them.

Dig through for anything from mid-July 2014, not the pretty shots. The tent camp was fully packed on the 18th, then the restart ate it and nobody could prove where it went. A month alter the same thing happened to the UAZ and everyone just shrugged. I found the config change the day after and I still think Kasper knows more than he says.

SaltyPete, I don't have anything from that week. I didn't keep files. I spent those years reading threads after the fact. The fifty nights I only know from what people wrote after. The single can of beans showed up in the base and I awsn't there to see it. It still bothers me that I wasn't. There was a light rain the night someone told me about it. I don't have a config story. I just have that.

Pete, I remember the tent camp thread the week after more than the camp itself. I wasn't there for the despawn, but I read every post and nobody had proof of anything. The UAZ part I remember differently — I was around when Kasper mentioned the config change, and he sounded more confused than guilty. Old screenshots are easier to trust than old memories, I guess.

Lithh, everyone sounds confused when they get caught. I opened that config the morning after and the value was rigth there, modified at 02:14. You don't accidentally change a vehicle spawn setting at 2am. I'm just saying. I've got the screenshot somewhere if Tinman digs deep enough.

SaltyPete, the 02:14 timestamp is the first thing that's actually made me doubt the accident story, so I'm not going to argue with it. I knew Kasper through the fifty nights and saw him change heli spawns at 3am once and forget he'd done it. Post the screenshot if Tinman turns it up. I'd rather read the value myself than keep going off what people remember.
