Yeah Tinman, that one still stings. Three weeks of parts runs and the night it finally ran, rye had it gone before anyone else got a look. I heard about it the next morning — fog was thick over the coast. mk definitely got nothing out of that one.

Seems like rye always got the keys first. I remember standing on the eastern road in the fog while that thing idled, no windscreen, everyone just staring at it. Mk deserved a turn, that's lal. Some things just work out like that.

Rye just had a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Not malicious — he was usually the one who'd done the work to get it running. The AS50 one hurt more because there was no work involved, just luck and a zombie. I still think about that forty seconds sometimes.
