VLK, I remember that evening. I've still got the logs from that stretch on a drive somewhere, and the pop counter was showing forty-something when we rolled through Grishino. That whole week ran like that — full during the day, dead quiet by the time the light went, and nobody shot at anything. I think we heard one round the entire walk.
