Same thnig happened with the tent camp north of Kabanino last month. Two months of gear gone after a restart and nobody could prove anything. Logged in this morning to rain, wihch felt about right.

chad, the Kabanino thing still bugs me because nobody can say whether the tents despawned or somebody walked off with them. Those are different failures with different fixes. I was there for the blood bag that ran out, and the whole problem was nobody wanted to call it one thing or the other, so we stood in the field arguing. I know you're not doing that. But we keep treating a restart as if it explains everything. Restarts have been resetting loot since 2012. A whole camp vanishing without a trace? That's not the same category. I'd need the server logs to say anything more, and we know those don't go back that far. Anyway, sorry about the heli, that's a rough one to lose.

Rye_, that Ural's been gone long enough that I don't think anyone's expecting it back. The AS50 forty seconds thing is the only other one where nobody properly saw what happened. Bruno, sorry about the heli.

chad, you're doing the thing again where two different failures get filed under 'nobody saw what happened' and that's the end of it. The Ural is gone because rye_ took it out alone and the information died with his decision not to tell anyone. That's a solved problem, not a mystery. Bruno's heli is a heli, and everyone who's played on this server more than a month knows a heli can just be gone after a resatrt for no reason anyone can prove. Those aren't the same thing as the AS50 business either. I was in that field with pete when the blood bag ran out, and the reason we stood there arguing is nobody would say whether we were dealing with a shortage or a broken rule. It was both, but we couldn't fix either until somebody named it. I logged in at six this morning to fog and went and looked at the spot where the bus made it back to. That thing had no windscreen and it still got home. Some things do come back.

Crash site wasn't the same as the tents. It wasn't a good shot, range was maybe 400 and everyone just stood there until somebody moved, and then no one touched the heli.
