Restarts, loot tables, vehicles, complaints about all three.

Reading this thread three times and I still don't know if 'medic' means anyone holding a blood bag or someone who says they're a medic. The field should have taught us that. We stood around for the better part of an hour after the bag ran out, Pete unconscious, and every plan started with 'well if'. Nobody here wants to relitigate the two_tap thing either, but that's what these votes turn into. Give it a poll and by the time it closes half the server will have voted on the title alone. So if we're going to add a rule, write the line. Who counts, what they lose protection for, and what happens when two people both claim it. The field showed what happens when everyone thinks they're in charge. I'd rather read a boring paragraph about the epi-pen than watch another thread turn into a vote.

Grud, the word does not matter much. That night on the shoreline nobody asked who had the blood bag and still it worked. Maybe write the boring paragraph and be done. I cannot speak about the two_tap vote because I joined after it.

Raining here. I only know the shoreline thing from what got told to me, but the detail was that nobody had to decide who the medic was and it still worked. Grud's right about the word 'medic' beign too vague for this. Write a short line about it and leave the two_tap thing out

Before my time but the two_tap thing is why every version of this rule turns into a fight before the poll even opens. I don't have an answer for the medic line itself. The only medic moment I actually saw was the barn loot night and nobody decided who was in charge, you just grabbed bags and hoped. So yeah, I'd read the boring paragraph if someone wrote it.

VLK and Lithh keep bringing up the shoreline like it settles it. I wasn't there, but I heard the same version — nobody decided anything and it worked. Fine. But that night the stakes were beans and bandages, and nobody had to be trusted with a gun. The field was the other end of it: one bag, one unconscious man, and four people all giving orders. If we write a rule, it has to say who is allowed to keep firing while someone is bleeding. Otherwise the first time it matters there won't be a gentle shoreline mood to carry it. I'd rather have the boring paragraph and never need it than need it and watch another hour get burned in a field. Maybe just put 'medic' in the rules with a line about what happens if two people claim it, and let the vote go wherever it goes.
