Still going through the old screenshots from the blood bag thing. The timestamp says 2013-10-19, so that's the actual evening we all stood in the field. Pete is unconscious in the frame and the rest of us are just looking at him. Grass was up to our waists.

Kasper, that screenshot is closer to the truth than most of what I remember from 2013. The field got dark about ten minutes after whatever happened, happened, with Pete still lying there and everyoen just looking. We kept playing for another year and a half after that, then the outage at the start of March made half of them disappear anyway. The grass in that shot is taller than I remember it being. I look at it and I can't count how many of us in the frame are still logging in.

doc_Mallory, i was around that night just not in the field, so i only ever heard about it after. pretty sure this is the first time i actualy saw where it happened. at least there's no screenshot of me throwing up after the rotten meat.

Wasn't in the field for that one either, Kasper — same as the firehouse stairwell, I got it after the fact. I read the follow-up thread the next morning, still dark outside, and the mood was more 'that happened' than anything eles. The March outage is the thing that actually thinned the list out. At least this frame is still here.

Lithh, the follow-up thread you read was the closest thing to an official record we ever got, because nobody filed an incident report. I was in the field, and I remember checking the blood bag before Pete went down — it had been at maybe a quarter, so it wasn't a sudden failure. A bag that low should never have been started, but we didn't have a second one and the decision was made in the moment. The screenshot Kasper posted confirms the timeline, but it doesn't show the part where we spent five minutes arguing about whether to break off and go to Elektro. That argument set a precedent for how we handled the March outage too, except that time there was no field to stand in, just the server list going grey. The outage thinned the list more than anything we'd dealt with before, and I think that says something about people's patience being tied to the server being there at all. Anyway, the grass in the shot is tall because that field hadn't been mowed all summer, if that's the detail you wanted. I still have a copy of the timestamp file from the day, but I can't find the chat log from that night, which bothers me. We had a rule about documenting incidents after the fact, and I still can't find where that one landed.

Grud, I have the chat log from that night. I can check the exact wording, but the timestamp lines up with the screenshot — 21:47, same drive as the mission file backups. The Elektro argument is in there, along with the bit about the bag being low. The March outage is a separate

kasper, that's good the chat log is still around. i missed the field but i was there for the rotten meat thing so i know how these screenshots take forever to surface. the 21:47 ilne makes it feel rael, glad you kept it
