lockpicking rules proposal draft v3

If we are going to keep arguing about tents we need to stop pretending this is a new problem. The rules have never defined abandonment as 'the owner has been off for a week.' I know the camp raid last September only took the ammo, I was not there but everyone talked about it. That tells me the person who did it knew exactly how far they could push it. Nobody is going to log their tent visits to prove activity. We all know what happened when the server went down for three days and half the people never came back. Some of those tents are still sitting where they were. You cannot call that active. But you also cannot take the ammo and call it fair.

edit: nvm found it

grud, the tent rule was always soft and everyone knew it, so I don't know why we're acting surprised now. The guy who hit the camp in September took the ammo but left the tents, which was the whole point — it was a raid, not a wipe, and that's the line nobody ever wrote down. For what it's worth, I think if you want it settled, you make it a one-line rule and move on, because the people who disappeared after the three-day downtime aren't coming back to argue abotu it. We talked about this last spring too and it just faded, same as it will now.

SOFT RULE OR NOT, SOMEONE LEFT A SINGLE CAN OF BEANS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BASE AFTER THE RAID AND WE ALL JUST LAUGHED ABOUT IT. wHY DOES EVERYONE ACT LIKE THE RUEL HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME WHEN WE ALL KNOW ITS WHATEVER SOMEONE GETS AWAY WITH THAT WEEK?? JUST WRITE THE ONE LINE AND MOVE ON, THE PEOPLE WHO LEFT ARENT COMING BACK TO READ IT ANYWAY
