Went digging through the old screenshots folder tonight. The first NWAF run is in there — everybody lined up on the tarmac with gear we'd never carry that easy again, and judging by the light it was just past dawn. There's one of the bus too, no windscreen, parked up near Stary with rabbit leaning out the door like it was the best vehicle on the serve.r That thing rattled all the way from the eastern road and never lost a wheel. I keep catching myself saying 'we used to' about this place.

Most of my old screenshots died in a hard drive thing, so I've got nothing to dig through. I remember when the first Ural finally got running and rye took it out alone that night. Nobody asked where he went and he never said. Then the wipe took it and everything else, and kasper found the config value and just said it flat. I think about that more than I should. The screenshots people still have are the only proof any of it happened. I've got one picture of the bus too, but it's from the outside, dusty, no rabbit in the door. I don't know why I kept that one.

i never kept many screenshots either. heard about rye and the ural secondhand, still never asked where he went.

For what it's worth, I still think about the tent camp up near Kabanino more than the Ural. Two months of gear gone and nobody ever proved anything. The screenshots from the night rye crawled out of NWAF with that broken leg are the ones I'd want, but I don't think anyone took them. We were all too busy trying to find morphine.

Every time rye comes up I think of the barn loot night instead. We ran between barns with the flashlights off trying to carry more than the cars could hold, and I turned the table back at 2am and stood outside in the dark for a bit. Nobody took screenshots that night, which might be why it still feels like it happened. The elektro roof one is on my drive too — just rooftops and sky. You would never know four of us spent two hours in that pub underneath it.

there's one screenshot from the shoreline day going around. just footprints in wet sand and no people, i still dont know who spent all night handing out beans.

I remember the shoreline day. Tide was out and the wet sand just kept going. It was around the three-day outage, I think — I've got a log file from that week and half the names in it don't post anymore. Whoever spent the night handing out beans never said who they were.
