Per the rules as written, the mission file stops being the source of truth once persistence is on; the vehicle save is, so arguing from a September diff was never going to be conclusive. i'd argue that's the same lesson as the blood bag that ran out — everyone was so busy checking their own version of the facts that nobody was watching Pete lose colour in the field. queue sitting at fifteen is probably the most useful information in this thread, and it says the server is still holding its usual crowd. the rain started up here around ten and hasn't let up, yet people were still in the queue, which tells me more than any config backup. that tent camp north of Kabanino still sits weird with me too, but I don't have a rulebook citation for a feeling, so I'll leave it alone. anyway, glad you found it. i would log the original vehicle location regardless, just for precedent. save the backup somewhere other than the forum.

Grud's right about persistence overriding the original list. That was the same lesson as the great wipe back in August — I'd already moved on and Pete still blames me. Backup is on a USB stick in the drawer next to the router, so it'll survive if the forum doesn't. Queue was at eighteen when I logged off, so the rain hasn't put anyone off yet.

pesristence puts the save above the mission file but its the same lseson as green mountain — we went up to prove nothing was there and stil spent the whole trip watching tree lines. glad the queue is holding at least
