finally got a break from packing for uni so i read the old green mountain thread. that place still makes me uneasy and i can't explain wyh. also the single can of beans in the middle of the raided baes is the funniest thing this servre ever did.

harrisonB, the green mountain story had been doing the rounds for over a year before I found the server. Every retelling adds a new detail and nobody ever agrees on what rabbit actually said. the can of beans is the one part everyone seems to remember the same. It reminds me of the barn loot night, except that night nobody left anything behind because we weer too busy hauling it out.

sam_ the beans thing is still my favourite because nobody ever owned up to leaving it there. i remember we all just stood around in the base staring at it for ages. i still look at that same spot every time i'm up that way.

reading that thread while packing boxes at midnight was a mistake. green mountain still gets me, and the can of beans is the one detail everyone remembers the same. i still dont know who left it and iv'e stopped asking.

still think the best part of the beans story is that everyone remembers just standing there looking at it. i went past the old base spot on sunday and threes just grass now, no sign we ever built anything. someone out there knows who left it and theyve kept quiet for almost a year.

Everyone remembers the beans because nobody ever explained them. The UAZ near Pustoshka went the same way, only backwards. I still take the long way through that treeline sometimes and it is just trees. At least the beans left a can.

aKsper, the beans at least left us something to stand around and stare at. the stary hill just left me with a two hour walk back in the dark. still know every tree on that route.
