the year we had fifty people on

Post by Doc_Mallory »

Sat at the tents today and got to thinking about that shoreline session. We handed out beans and bandages to fresh spawns for hours and nobody shot at us once. I still have the log from it somewhere. Can't remember the last time the coast felt that quiet. stay safe out there

Doc, I wasn't there for that shoreline thing, but I know the version of the coast you mean. The first coast story someone told me after I joined was the Elektro roof sniper. Two hours pinned in the pub while she went around the school and found nobody. That's the coast I learned. The firehouse stairwell one always sat worse with me, though. Not sure why I'm saying that now. Stay safe.

rye_, I know. I wasn't trying to make you own it. It just stayed with me, same as the blood bag thing — I wasn't there for either, so I only ever got the story. The stairwell one never settles. People still tell it like theyr'e working through it, even the ones who were in the building. That's the part I remember. No point. Just wanted to say it. Stay safe.

rye_, the stairwell one never settles for me either. The only other time I remember us all going quiet was the kid on voice. That was a good one. The tent camp was the bad one, morning atfer a restart. We stood in the trees and nobody said much.

Doc, the kid on voice is the one that stuck with me even though I only got the retelling. The tent camp morning must have been a different kind of quiet. The fifty nights had plenty of those stretches too, just before dawn, nobody saying anything. Not much to add, just glad you still have the log.
