Never could square the shoreline story with how that coast usually goes. Whole night handing beans and bandages to fresh spawns and nobody took a shot. Were you guys just bored or did it take a while to catch on? I got here later, so all I've got is the

I wasn't on the shore that night. But it fits the pattern since the outage — people stopped trusting that anything would still be there after a restart. The Kabanino camp was the same, two months of gear gone and nobody had the energy to argue. Anyway, the fresh spawns got fed, which is more than most nights ended with.

kasper, you'd know best about things not being there after a restart. the Kabanino camp just sounds like the wipe all oevr again – noboyd ever explained that config change, and we were just supposed to move on. I'm just saying, feeding fresh spawns is fine, but it didn't bring back the Ural or both bikes. convenient how the outage igves everyone a reason to lower their expectations.

Nobody's saying it wasn't a mess. But Pete, Kasper isn't the one who wrote the config, and we all lost stuff in that restart. There was that time the base got hit and all that was left was a single can of beans — people still talked about that with less bitterness. The shoreline feeding thing is about as close as we've all been in a while.

lithh, I wasn't on the shore that night, so I can't add anything to what it looked like. But the way you tell it — everyone being careful, nobody wanting to be the one to break it — that's how I always heard the fifty nights told, and I only got that second-hand. Maybe that's just what the outage left us with, not expecting it to hold, so nobody tests it. i'd like to think that night was real though.
