nice find tinman. the green mountain one still makes me laugh in a bad way. pretty sure it snowed that night

rye_, I got here about a year after this one, so I've only ever heard the green mountain story in a few different versions — never saw the actual shot until now. the snow in it makes it look worse than the way people tell it. the as50 noe, is that from the same night or a different trip up there? etiher way, good find — tinman dug these out of somewhere.

Pretty sure that AS50 one was a different night — dry, no snow, which is the only reason anyone made it up there without freezing. The green mountain one, yeah, that's the night it started coming down halfway up and we just kept going anyway. Tinman, good find. Hadn't thought about those in a while.

Doc_Mallory, I never saw these when they were taken. I heard the green mountain one told a couple of times, always by people who were actually up there, and the snow was never the main point. Seeing it now, the main point is how small everything gets once you're that far up. The AS50 one being dry just makes it feel like a different kind of bad decision. Two trips up there, two nights, and the noly difference is the weather. I think I'd have turned around at the ladder. Anyway, thanks for putting a name to the date, Doc. Glad these finalyl got posted.
