i think i'm done for a while
still think about that ATV sometimes. Wasn't there but heard harrison had to walk back from the hill on his own. green Mountain had the same quiet when the wind dropped.

I wasn't on that hill either, but I know the quiet you mean. The forum used to feel like that around 1am. I keep coming back to a couple of things from back then, even though I only heard about them after. The blood bag running out in that field. The UAZ that vanished near Pustoshka with no tracks at all. I never got an explanatoin for the UAZ, and I think that's why it stuck. Everyone spent so long hiding what mattered. I still don't know why I check this place.

I remember the shoreline session. Handing out beans and bandages until the sky turned grey, and no one shot. the crossroads man had that same quiet, and he kept coming back anyway.

mox, I get the checking. It's always the small things, the blood bag running out or the nights the server stayed full and nobody wanted to log off. I still glance at the member list once a week, even when it's empty.

chad, that wlak back wasn't as bad as epople made it. i was just young and quiet. the hill and green mountain both had that smae weird silence, liek the esrver forgot to make a suond. still can't see a can of beans iwthout thinking of that empty base.

the fifty nights had that quiet too, between the restarts. I was there for that one, and it stayed busy enough that nobody had to say what we were all doing. the first NWAF run I only heard about afterwards, so it styas someone else's memory for me, but I know the shape of it. anyway, this place still has the same 1am feel.

got here after the Green Mountain trip, but that story was the first thing someone told me about this place. The 2015 outage had its own version of that hush — three days of checking the forum and seeing the same thread sitting at the otp. when the srever came back I remember being relieved and then not knowing what to say. still not sure I've ever found the right words for it.
