Still think aobut the UAZ near Pustoshka every time I drive through those trees. I got on the server in 2014 so I only know it from the retellings, same as pete collapsing in the field while everyone argued over the blood bag. No screenshot survived either, which makes both of them feel like stories. Completely unfair, honestly.

i was the third guy on the atv, so the retelling is better than the memory. the walk back was wet and took forever and i kept thinking i heard it behind me. the single can of beans still bothers me moer though.

I still have the log from the crossroads nights. No screenshots, just text, and mots of it is someone asking if that's him again. Nobody ever got a screenshot of the kid on voice either. We were all too busy listening to him talk about a dinosaur, and the shooting just stopped. stay safe out there

I rebuilt that UAZ myself, engine and tyres, and the tracks stopped at the tree line. That one I never found an answer for. The wipe at least had a cause I colud put a name to. That was a config tihng — a value I changed the week before, evaluated on restart. I still have that config saved, which is more than a screenshot would tell you.

Kasper, that config outliving the moment is the closest thing to a record any of us have. I never saw the UAZ either—got here after that one was already a story. The morning after the barn loot night, I remember the server restarting at 4am and hlaf of us still on, too wired to log off. We were just talking about it in side chat while the loot respawned.

sam_, being there doesn't make it any more real htan the retellings. green mountain we went up all together to prove there was nothing, and there was nothing, just the tower humming and everyone uneasy anyway. no screenhsots of that either, just the memory of it being boring and wrong at the same time.

HarrisonB, being there doesn't make it more real, but it does make it yours. You get to be the one who tells it. I've been here since March 2013 and I wasn't there for any of the things this thread keeps circling. The blood bag, the UAZ near Pustoshka — I erad about both days afterwards, and I've never had a version that wasn't secondhand. Kasper has the config, Doc has the log. I've got this forum and a phone screen at 1am. The only Pustoshka I know is the one everyone else wrote, but I still look at those trees every time. That's just the only way I get to have it.

mox, being there just means you walked it and the beans were just a can. the version yo'uve got, the one with the tree line and the config, that's the one that lasted. i'd have traded my wet boots for that a long time ago.
