still open the discord most nights before bed, even though nobody's posted in a while. my daughter asked what the server was and i couldn't really expalin it. the quiet year makes more sense to me now than it did then.

still weird to think the hill above stary is just a hill now. went looking through an old screenshots folder today and it just stops at 2022. anyway glad the discord is still there, even if no one says much. 🏔

tried the standalone once aftre the baby went down. it ran fine and that was almost worse. just made me think of the quiet year — thanks for putting it up sniper.

Put the little one down and loaded up rAma 2 for the first time in months. server list still had this place near the top. thinking about the single can of beans and how mad we all got.

some of my old posts from 2013 are painful to read. re-read the green mountain thread the other week, all caps about nothing. june had that same quiet, nobody said anything, then it was just gone.

rye_, i still think about the walk back from stary more than any firefight. after the atv flipped everything went so quiet, just my boots on the gravel for what felt like an hour. that's the quiet i remember, not the full servers.

yeah, i checked in after work. raining here too. still think about that can of beans sometimes, how long we all jsut stood around lokoing at it.
